e-Attorney - Released December, 2003

The e-Clerk Program is a Web-based electronic approach to doing business with attorneys practicing law in Harris County. e-Attorney is the latest addition to e-Clerk. Using the e-Attorney links within e-Clerk allows attorneys to maintain their personal information as well as submit vacation information. By providing a method for attorneys to submit this information electronically three, objectives will be met:

  • Changes to the data will be processed more timely
  • More accurate, comprehensive information will be available
  • Repetitive, labor intensive tasks for clerical personnel will be reduced

As an incentive to submitting this information electronically, the District Clerk will offer access to the Web-based Harris County Subscriber Access Systems (Criminal and Civil Programs) at no charge to any attorney meeting the program eligibility requirements. Attorneys interested in the program will be required to complete an application and sign an agreement to participate in the program. Attorneys will be able to check the status of their case without having to make time-consuming calls to the District Clerk’s Office. All in all, e-Clerk presents a win-win situation for both attorneys and the District Clerk. Interested attorneys, please click to receive a copy of the e-Clerk Program Application Packet.
