Public Information Act (PIA) Requests
Following the advice from Mayor John Whitmire to avoid going to downtown Houston after Thursday's severe weather, the Harris County District Clerk's Office will be closed on Friday, May 17, and jury service has been cancelled.
Our Passport Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 18, has also been cancelled.

The Public Information Act (PIA) guarantees the public access to information maintained by a government agency. It is our policy to provide you with the fullest possible access to public information.
PIA requests cannot be used to request information that is available on our website. Please use our Online Services including
Search Our Records and Documents to obtain online information such as detailed case information
and documents. Customer Service can assist with court records and other case related information that is not found online.
PIA requests are not needed to review public court records or other records maintained by Customer Service.
Requests for public information must be made in writing or by submitting electronically below. Written requests should include your name, address, and as much description as you can provide regarding the records you are requesting. Telephone requests are not considered public information requests.
