Criminal Collections

Criminal Collections sets up payment plans for specific cases as ordered by the District Criminal Courts and the County Criminal Courts at Law. Criminal Collections works as an agent to ensure timely payment of court costs, fines, and fees.

Payment Options and Methods

Payments may be made online, in person or by mail. All payments must include your case number. If you do not know the case number, please include your full name and date of birth.

Personal checks are not accepted.

Online Payments

Our online payment system is available to all customers with active payment plans and allows for payments 24/7. Customers can make their payments using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards.

To make a payment:

  • In the blue bar at the top of the District Clerk’s homepage log in with your email and password or Click “New User” to create an account
  • Click “Search Our Records” in the blue boxes under the photos
  • Click on “Criminal” Tab
  • Enter your case number or defendant information
  • Under the Style column, click on the case you want to pay. A new page will open with several tabs.
  • Click on “Payment Plan” Tab
  • Click on the Pay now box on the left side and click on the credit card icon to pay
  • Scroll down to enter your credit card information and click on “Pay Now”
  • You can click on a link to print a receipt when the transaction is complete

If customers experience any technical difficulties with the new system, they can contact the DCO Help Desk via email at DCSA@hcdistrictclerk.com. In Person
Payments made in person are handled at 1201 Franklin, 1st Floor Suite 1016 using one of the following methods:
  • Cash
  • Bank Cashier's Check
  • Money Order
  • Credit Cards
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 4:30PM

By Mail

Payments may be made by mail using one of the following methods:

  • Bank Cashier’s Check
  • Money Order

Drop Box

The drop box is currently located in the Criminal Justice Center (CJC) 1st floor on the left side of the main entrance. Only opened on weekdays from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
