Search for detailed case (cause) information such as court costs, documents, case details, parties, and the location of a case (cause) file within our office by Party type. Only public cases (causes) will be shown from this search, however no family documents will be available for review.

Searches return Harris County data, only. No federal or other County's records, or Justice of the Peace or other Municipalities Class C Misdemeanors will be searched.

Data returned relies on the information obtained and entered. Inaccurate data obtained or entered will result in erroneous data returned. Please, provide as much criteria as necessary for more reliable results.

If data is returned, click the "ADD TO BASKET" icon to save background data for the specified individual. If First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth are entered and no data is returned, a Certified Letter of Disposition may be requested by providing additional required information. Only public criminal cases (causes) will be shown via this search.

The Historical Document application was designed by the Harris County District Clerk's Office to display historical legal documents accumulated by the county dating back to 1837. To increase performance, the application is currently displaying the top 1000 results for each query.

Trial Judgments

TRIAL JUDGMENTS SEARCH

This search feature will allow users to search for judgments entered after both jury and non-jury trials. This feature does not provide a list of all jury and non-jury trials that have been conducted or all jury verdicts returned or accepted. For information on the number of trials or verdicts, please contact the court administrator's office.

Users may search for both jury and non-jury trial judgments by judgment date range, court, public image number, judgment type, or case number for Civil public non-Family cases only.

Case Subscriptions

You can subscribe for notifications to a specific case for which you are not the Attorney of Record to receive automatic e-mail notifications of new events pertaining to that case. You can select which events (Dockets, Documents/Filings, and/or Judgments/Order).
Note: You can have a maximum of 30 active notifications.

Client/PartyNotifications

Build a Client/Party list and receive an automatic e-mail notification when a new petition is filed with our office that names a Client/Party identified on your Client/Party list.

Several County Criminal Courts at Law and District courts have reported intermittently slow system performance for Harris County District Clerk web site users. These slowdowns are causing longer than usual wait times for external users such as public users, law firms, and commercial vendors. We ask commercial customers who run data scraping scripts to help ease the system slowdown time by instead using our Public Datasets that provide a large quantity of information for download. If there are additional elements of data not currently within the datasets that you would like to see added, you may contact using the information in the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page.
