The District Clerk is authorized by Texas law to collect court cost and fees as ordered by the District Courts. The Billing section prepares court cost invoices to notify the responsible party of their payment obligation. Customers may make payment using multiple methods; however, the online payment is the preferred method as the system is updated instantaneously with an approved credit card payment by the financial institution to avoid further collection action.

  • Create a User ID/Email and Password.
  • If you have your User ID/Email and Password, click here to log in.
  • If you have forgotten your Password, click here.
  • If you do not have a User ID/Email and Password, click here to create one (New User Registration).

To make a payment online, go to Search Our Records & Documents:

  • Log in with your User ID/Email and Password located at the top left of the page directly under the Harris County District Clerk Marilyn Burgess banner.
  • Enter your invoice number in the Invoice# field to easily bring up your court cost information.
  • If you do not have your invoice number, you may search for your case information by using our “Document Search Hints” for other Search Our Records & Documents search fields.
  • Once you have located your case information, click on the case Style, then click on the Court Costs tab.
  • To view an itemization of the assessed fees, click the down arrow Down Arrow located beside the Trans #.
  • Click on the “Pay Now” icon Pay Online for you to begin the payment process.

Pay By Mail

Payments made by mail must include the top portion of the invoice. If you do not have the invoice, please include your case number at the bottom of your payment. If you do not have your case number, include your full name and include the style of the case (defendant and plaintiff name) on the bottom of the payment.
