Juror calls have resumed at NRG Arena. If you have received a summons to appear, please click here to enter your HC Number or Texas Driver's License and your last name to complete the registration process and receive notices of when and where to appear. If you are selected to serve on the Jury, you will be directed to appear at a courthouse downtown on a following day for the trial. For your convenience, click here to see a map that shows how you can go to NRG Arena. Our office recommends that you wear socks, given the fact you will have to take off your shoes when you go through the security screening. If you have been summoned for jury service, please keep in mind jury calls are temporarily being held at NRG Arena. Summoned jurors park free of charge and must enter NRG Arena through Gate 5, located at 1770 South Loop West Freeway, Houston, TX, 77054.
If you have been selected for jury service downtown, you qualify for a discounted parking rate of $6.00 for the entire day at the parking garage located at 1401 Congress (entrances on Austin and La Branch streets). Please, arrive early to secure a parking spot, as the garage tends to get full. There are no in/out privileges.
Regarding summons for Justice of the Peace Courts, parking is available at the respective courthouse address noted on the summons.
You can use public transportation to go to NRG Arena while jury calls are held at that venue. Use METRO's trip planner online or on the app to learn what are the routes you can ride on. The closest METRORail station to NRG is Stadium Park/Astrodome, which is part of the Red Line. If you don't know what bus to take, contact Metro at (713) 635-4000 or www.ridemetro.org. You’ll get all the information you need to get you to the right bus and home again.
For persons with hearing impairments, the Harris County Jury Room offers the William Sound Plus WIR TX10 Infared transmitter, selectable 95 khz or 250 khz carrier. The system is designed to transmit high quality audio for hearing assistance and language interpretation applications.
Sign language and captioning are also provided upon request. Please contact Harris County Jury Assembly at (713) 755-6392 or via e-mail at jury@hcdistrictclerk.com at least one day before you are scheduled to appear. The District Clerk's office will contact the company that provides these two services and get assistance for you scheduled.
It is advisable to eat breakfast as we do not know when or if the court will break for lunch.
